چکیده

We study the cube of type assignment systems, as introduced in [10]. This cube is obtained from Barendregt’s typed -cube [1] via a natural type erasing function E, that erases type information from terms. We prove that the systems in the former cube enjoy good computational properties, like subject reduction and strong normalization. We study the relationship between the two cubes, which leads to some unexpected results in the field of systems with dependent types.

Collaborative data analysis with smart tangible devices

We present a tangible approach for exploring and comparing multi-dimensional data points collaboratively by combining Sifteo Cubes with glyph visualizations. Various interaction techniques like touching, shaking, moving or rotating the displays support the user in the analysis. Context dependent glyph-like visualization techniques make best use of the available screen space and cube arrangement...

Alignment Cubes: Towards Interactive Visual Exploration and Evaluation of Multiple Ontology Alignments

Ontology alignment is an area of active research where many algorithms and approaches are being developed. Their performance is usually evaluated by comparing the produced alignments to a reference alignment in terms of precision, recall and F-measure. These measures, however, only provide an overall assessment of the quality of the alignments, but do not reveal differences and commonalities be...

Visualizing Human Trajectories: Comparing Space-Time Cubes and Static Maps

The increasing popularity of smartphones and position tracking devices fostered the interest on human trajectory data analysis, and enabled the collection of large amounts of movement data. However, there are still several open challenges regarding the visual and interactive analysis of these data, as more people, often non-experienced, start using these methods. This paper presents a comparati...

Alignment Cubes: Interactive Visual Exploration and Evaluation of Multiple Ontology Alignments

The quality of ontology alignments is evaluated by comparing to reference alignments and calculating general measures, i.e., precision, recall and F-measure. These measures, however, only provide an overall assessment of the alignments’ quality, but do not reveal differences and commonalities between alignments at a finer-grained level such as, e.g., regions or individual mappings. This demands...

Robust Person Detection by Classifier Cubes and Local Verification

Classifier grids have shown to be an alternative to sliding window approaches for object detection from static cameras. However, existing approaches neglected two essential points: (a) temporal information is not used and (b) a standard non-maxima suppression is applied as post-processing step. Thus, the contribution of this paper is twofold. First, we introduce classifier cubes, which exploit ...
